借問眾神明 A Good Fortune

《借問眾神明》是一冊從我個人拜拜經驗出發的藝術小誌。來自香港的我，來台灣生活後，第一次這麼直接地接觸廟宇文化與民間信仰。靈感來自每次拜拜時收到的金紙與紙錢，在我眼中，那些紙張不只是傳統祭品，也像是一份具體的祝福。於是我將這段經驗轉化為紙本作品，收錄自己重新想像的九位台灣神明，希望透過這本小誌，把信仰的溫度與力量傳遞出去。不同於傳統宗教出版品，這本作品加入了許多現代設計語彙與當代視覺語言，試圖以一種更貼近年輕世代的方式呈現信仰之美。每位神明都搭配簡短的介紹，內容則包含鏡面紙製作的意象羅盤、三張符、四張貼紙，以及一張隨機附贈的神明明信片。這些小物件像是一份份不同的祝福，也讓每一本小誌都有屬於它自己的緣分與故事。頁面中也藏有不少小細節和彩蛋，邀請讀者以探索的方式慢慢體會其中的意涵。對我來說，這本小誌是一種溫柔的文化對話，是一位異地生活的創作者，將自身觀察與想像轉化為創作的紀錄，也是我與台灣民間信仰之間的第一次深層連結。

“A Good Fortune” is an art zine born from my personal experience of temple rituals in Taiwan. Coming from Hong Kong, I hadn’t encountered folk beliefs this intimately before. After moving here, I became fascinated by the presence of temples in everyday life—especially the way blessings are offered through paper objects like joss paper. I began to see those offerings not just as religious tools, but as expressions of care, protection, and connection. This zine became my way of responding to that experience through design.

It features nine deities from Taiwanese folk belief, each reimagined in my own visual style and paired with a short introduction. Instead of using traditional depictions, I worked with a contemporary design language to reflect how these gods might live in today’s world. The zine also includes a mirror-paper compass, three talismans, four stickers, and a randomly included deity postcard. These additions aren’t just decorations—they’re small blessings that make each copy feel unique, like a quiet exchange between the work and the person holding it. Hidden symbols and details are scattered throughout, inviting readers to explore slowly and attentively.

This zine is both a personal record and a cultural dialogue—a way for someone living between places to connect with a world of belief that feels distant yet familiar. It’s not about explaining religion, but about finding meaning through observation, imagination, and care.
